- Give me some kind of sign that you love me
- if I asked you to marry me what would you say?
- if I asked you to be my girl friend, would you do it?
- if I said I love you would that make a difference
All tried and true ploys used be guys to get more physical action than they were getting.
All of these have worked for guys who had no intention of loving her, or marrying her, or being her boy friend (in public).
One thing these lines have in common.
He is asking you to t ell him what you would do, without him taking a chance and asking you.
Asking you — Will you marry me? This carries all kinds of risks for the guy. You might say yes and he has to follow through or look bad. You might say no, and he has to deal with rejection.
But asking what you would do, costs him nothing and gains him positive reactions from many girls.
Remember the kid game Go Fish?
You all have cards you are holding that the other players can’t see. Each player takes a turn and gets to ask another player “Do you have any 3’s, or whatever card they are looking for. That person has to answer truthfully. If they have a 3, they have to give it to the player asking for it. If they don’t they tell the player to Go Fish. The player draws a card from the stack on the table and their turn is over.
Would you play Go Fish with someone who Asks “If I ask you for a 3 when it is my turn, what would you say?” If you answer yes he will ask for a 3. If you answer no, he will ask for a different card, or ask someone else for a 3.
In the same way, if a guy asks one of these What If questions, at least turn in around and answer with a question. If you wanted to ask me to marry you, would you have the guts to straight out ASK? His answer might tell you something about him.
Even better, tell the guys who is asking the dumb question — GO FISH.
You are dealing with a little boy hinting about big boy questions.
