In yesterdays Play she gives a warning
Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.
She stops her emotions and gives a warning to herself as well as the other girls. She isn’t trying to deny her feelings. She is warning not to awaken love before it is ready. Physical emotions and stimulation isn’t enough. It can be fun for awhile, but love won’t be satisfied. Watch how people go through the cycle of being in love and thinking good thoughts about the other person. Then they fall out of love and all of those good thoughts turn negative.
Key point. If a guy can control his feelings and actions and he can help her control her feelings and actions they can go into marriage with equal desire in the physical area. If she has to control her feelings and be the one to control his actions then they go into marriage more like a parent/child. She has to be responsible and he just goes after what he wants. It doesn’t work well.
