2:16-17 – Will She Tell You To Go?
Scripture Text: Song of Solomon 1:16-17
verses 16-17
Now she is alone again.
She is lying in her bed.
She is speaking about him, not to him.
She wants him to be like a gazelle or a young stag.
She wants this on the rugged hills, the hills of separation.
The hills are her breasts and she wants him to be light and easy and gentle like the gazelle, and strong and kind of rough like the young stag.
Guys, get used to this part of it. She likes it softer and rougher at different times, and it varies greatly when and which of these she wants.
GUYS: LEARN THERE ARE TIMES TO STOP AND ASK HER FOR DIRECTIONS, because you aren’t going to guess right very often.
He turned down the chance to be intimate. In a very polite way he said NO, not now, not yet. She didn’t tell him to go away. She didn’t say if I don’t get the physical part from you I’ll find someone else who will do it.
The next passage is Song of Solomon 3:1-5.
