The girl is with her friends and they see her special “guy” approaching.
They aren’t a couple yet, but they both are very interested in the other person.
The first line defines the book that we often call Song of Solomon
Solomon wrote 1005 songs.
This song, or group of songs made it into the Bible. So this is the best of what he wrote.
Watch how she changes from “I wish he would kiss me” to “your lovemaking”
In the first line she is talking out loud with her friends.
In the second line we are hearing her thoughts.
If this was a play or an opera, her character would step forward to the audience so that you would know she was telling you her thoughts and that the other characters on stage were not hearing this part.
Once you get use to the way it is written it makes more sense, and is easier to follow who is talking.
Other Bible translations or paraphrases very slightly in what words they use.
Remember this was written in Hebrew and our English Versions are translated from that or from a very early Greek translation.
We can look at multiple versions and it actually helps us understand the meaning.

It all comes down to the same thing.
This girl really likes the guy.
She says out loud that she wants him to kiss her,
but in her thoughts she is thinking way past that.
She is turning her full attention on him.
Next time we will see what her friends do.
