2:14-15 – Turns Down Physical for now – But Turns Up Verbal
Scripture Text: Song of Solomon 2:14-15
verse 14
Instead of coming inside where she is, he asks to see her face and to hear her voice.
And he compliments both her voice and her face. See Experience: The Law of Diminishing Returns for a longer discussion of why this shows that they weren’t embracing, groping, fondling in the previous chapter.
verse 15
I’m not convinced what this is trying to say.
The little foxes looked to get into a new vineyard and chew off the soft young roots.
Maybe it is a warning to be careful with their new young love.
Don’t let other people bother their new relationship.
The truth – I just don’t know.
The next passage is Song of Solomon 2:16-17.
